]]>The post Treebo Hygiene Shield: Best-In-Class Safety Standards Across All Treebo Hotels appeared first on Treebo Blog.
]]>We understand the need for a stricter hygiene process to be followed during your stay. For this reason, we as your travel partner, have introduced Treebo Hygiene Shield program – protection that you can fully trust.
Treebo Hygiene Shield is a revised set of protocols covering all legs of your stay. From a safe arrival at the hotel with all checks in place to checking-in to a fully disinfected room, followed by in-room dining with strict protocols, and checkout process, we ensure every stage of your stay is completely safe and hygienic.
The revised protocols under Treebo Hygiene Shield include different hygiene processes followed for different areas of the hotels. We have a 50-point checklist that all our hotels strictly adhere to and also follow the revised protocols to make sure you enjoy a peaceful stay with us. We leave no stone unturned to maintain high safety standards across all our hotels.
Let us take a look at the new set of protocols we have come up
amid the COVID-19 pandemic to keep up our commitment to cleanliness and safety.
COVID-19 pandemic has drastically altered the functionalities of all businesses and ours is no different. We strictly adhere to the following safety standards at Treebo Hotels to safeguard and protect you during your travel.
We perform a mandatory thermal screening using an Infrared Thermometer and record the temperatures of all visitors (staff, vendors, guests) entering the premises. In case we get a temperature reading of >99°F, we politely direct you to the nearest medical facility. Once the temperature is recorded, we sanitize your hands using a 70% alcohol sanitizer.
At Treebo, we take your safety and hygiene very seriously which is why we also disinfect and sanitize your luggage. We use a 4% solution of Virex and a clean cloth to wipe your luggage well.
Before interacting with any guest, the front office staff mandatorily adheres to the hand hygiene guidelines prescribed by WHO: washing hands every hour, sanitizing hands before touching anything, using masks and disposable gloves. Our staff change their disposable gloves before interacting with every new guest. Once you reach the reception desk, post the thermal screening, the front desk manager hands you a face mask in case you are not carrying one of your own.
We then greet you with a Namaste as opposed to shaking your hands previously. After this, the front desk manager will show you his phone with the Aarogya Setu app for you to verify that they are safe and have not come in contact with any COVID-19 suspects. Similarly, you will also have to display your phone where the manager will check your safety status in the Aarogya Setu app installed on your phone.
Our front office staff will also make sure you follow social distancing (maintaining at least 6-feet distance) and stand on the floor marking made in the hotel premises.
At Treebo Hotels, we follow a completely contactless check-in. We collect your ID details from the email/Whatsapp message that you send us and verify it with the ID that you show us at the reception. The front desk manager alone fills out the Arrival/Departure register.
The front desk manager will also provide you sanitizer to sanitize your hands and request you to take tissues from the tissue box kept on the front desk. Then, the manager will disinfect the room key in front of you and place it on the marking on the table and request you to collect it. This is how we will complete our contactless check-in process.
The front office staff will also call you immediately after check-in to check if you want any help and if you’d like an on-call showaround.
After you collect your room key, our staff will guide you to the elevator and carry your luggage to your room. A Safety Instruction Poster is placed outside the elevator for you to go through. Sanitizer is present inside the elevators as well for you to use. The Housekeeping will sanitize the internal and external call buttons regularly using a disinfectant, every hour.
Whenever you request for housekeeping service, they will also follow the protocols laid down under the Treebo Hygiene Shield. The housekeeping staff in the hotel will ring the doorbell and step back at least 2-feet. They will sanitize their hands, wear a fresh pair of gloves in front of you and only then enter the room. The housekeeping staff will always carry a box of disposable gloves and a bottle of sanitizer in the trolley.
All the high touchpoints inside the guest rooms are thoroughly sanitized and disinfected by the housekeeping staff. This is followed mandatorily before every new check-in. The staff also naturally ventilate the rooms by opening windows to allow some fresh air while cleaning.
To avoid frequent entry into the guest rooms by the hotel staff, we change the bed and bath linen only once in two days or when you request for it. Tea kettle, mugs and glasses are sanitized by washing them with Vim Gel and hot water and then drying them with a clean cloth.
As per our revised Treebo Hygiene Shield protocols, every guest room has a bracket with a sanitizer dispenser and a box of tissues. These are timely refilled by the housekeeping staff at the time of cleaning. After cleaning, they spray a 4% Virex solution before re-installing the grill filter.
After cleaning the washroom, the Housekeeping Staff disinfect high touchpoints by wiping it with a clean cotton cloth and with 4% Virex solution. These high touchpoints include sink tap, soap dispenser, WC seat cover, health faucet, shower taps, shower gel dispenser and bathroom doorknob.
We also place a Room Hygiene Safety poster on the bathroom door facing the room for you to go through.
Upon entering a room for cleaning, the staff will soak the dusters in hot water and Dettol solution for 10 mins before using them to clean the room. While the duster soaks in hot water, the staff will change the linen, replenish the beverage tray, etc. and then use the dusters.
According to the revised protocols under the Treebo Hygiene Shield program, we provide an in-room dining service mandatorily in all our hotels to curb physical contact and ensure safety. All rooms will have an in-room dining menu and you can place your order for food by calling the housekeeping staff.
The Food & Beverage staff will sanitize their hands and wear gloves and masks. They will sanitize the breakfast tray, cutlery and crockery and ensure every food/beverage item has a lid or it is sealed with cling film. They will also follow social distancing while on the way to the guest rooms.
To avoid any contact you, the staff will place the breakfast tray on a table, ring the bell and step back 2 feet and wait for you to open the door. Once you answer the door, they will politely ask you to pick up the tray. After checking with you for further assistance, the staff will move the table away from the door.
Following the new protocols enlisted under the Treebo Hygiene Shield program, the housekeeping staff will place alcohol-based sanitizers at all critical touchpoints in the heart of the house areas like lift landings, corridors, staff washrooms & lockers, staff dining area, etc. The staff lockers, washrooms, showers and elevators are also thoroughly cleaned and disinfected every 2 hours.
Used linen is always stored in a closed bin to avoid contamination. Garbage is also always disposed of in a bin with a closed lid to avoid contamination.
The housekeeping staff dry and wet mop the floors in the lobby and reception area every 4 hours. They also clean the public washrooms every 2 hours, place adequate toilet paper & hand napkins and disinfect the high touch points like door knobs and latch, basin countertop, basin taps, health faucets and the cistern tank knob with Virex
All high touchpoints in the public area are also completely sanitized by the hotel staff every 2 hours.
Facilities like the swimming pool, gymnasium, spa, game room and other facilities for guests will remain closed for service as per Government order.
These are the revised protocols under our Treebo Hygiene Shield Program that we follow to provide good quality, safe and hygienic stays at our hotels across the country. Every future travel of yours is now protected with Treebo Hygiene Shield so you may enjoy a pleasant and stress-free stay with us.
